Job summary

Soccer Shots is seeking one or two part-time, seasonal league coordinators for the Lockport Township Park District. The role focuses on supporting a recreational youth league (PreK-8th) with a $25 per hour pay rate. You will work with coaches to ensure efficient league operations at Dellwood Park.

Ideal candidates are over 18, reliable, and able to communicate clearly with parents and staff. Prior soccer knowledge and a passion for teaching the sport are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of soccer and ability to teach the sport to children.
• Strong verbal communication with parents, kids, and staff.
• Reliable and punctual; rarely calls off or is late to practices.
• Passion for coaching a recreational league and working with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Soccer Shots runs the recreational soccer league for children ages PreK-8th grade. Soccer Shots and our league continue to grow and are looking for a PART-TIME and seasonal league coordinator to join our team.

We are looking for 1-2 detail-oriented and passionate soccer league coordinators for our soccer league at the Lockport Township Park District.

Responsibilities will include:

• Working closely with our team of coaches to ensure the league runs smoothly. Must have the ability to problem-solve if needed.
• Field set-up and clean-up
• Coaching teams and practices
• Answering parents' questions regarding the league while at practices and games.

Hours:

• September 1st - October 24th
• Tuesdays/Thursdays, 4:45 pm - 7:15 pm
• Saturdays, 8:30 - noon, except October 3rd is 12:30 pm - 4:00 pm
• Preseason meeting on August 25th, 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
• If interested in continuing, we have a winter and spring league through the Lockport Township Park District.

Location:

• Dellwood Park at the Lockport Township Park District

The ideal applicant must meet the following criteria:

• Reliable and always on time. A Soccer Shots coach rarely calls off or is late to practice.
• The ability to speak to parents, kids, and park district staff clearly and confidently.
• Knowledge of soccer
• Passion for soccer and teaching the sport. We are a recreational league, and we have children from all backgrounds and abilities.
• Over 18 and out of high school.

Compensation: $25 per hour
