Job description

POSITION: Soccer Instructor-- P/T Hourly

REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager

SUMMARY

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Soccer Instructor at the ComEd Recreation Center. Under direct supervision, the Soccer Instructor develops class curriculums and provides soccer instruction to participants with variety of ages. This role is year-round.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Instructs scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time; provides adequate and effective lessons

  • Prepares detailed lesson plans and activities

  • Leads the instruction of soccer participants, according to the approved lesson plan, in a fun environment while teaching specific soccer techniques

  • Ensures that the team has adequate equipment for practices and games including soccer balls, nets, cones, etc.

  • Maintains a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for both participants, guests, and parents

  • Ensures that safety standards are met, and department and facility policies are adhered

  • Provides positive and professional communication with participants parents involved in program

  • Ensures the safety of all participants during classes and performances, and report any problems, unsafe conditions, behavior issues and accidents to the management

  • Helps players develop their skills through drills, scrimmages, and other exercises

  • Maintains Class log and attendance

  • Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of one year teaching experience

  • Early childhood experience preferred

  • Ability to maintain a positive and SAFE environment for all students

  • Be able to communicate with parents and guests

  • Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn

WORK HOURS

Employee must be available to work weekdays, weekends, mornings, and evenings. Applicant must be able to work on Sundays and work year-round.

HOURLY RATE: $19.00/hr
