Job Title: Middle School Soccer Coach (part-time)

Department: Athletics

Reports to: Director of Athletics

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide quality coaching and instruction to players participating in the soccer program.
• Coach an assigned group of children emphasizing skill development, safety, fair play, sportsmanship, and fun.
• Preside over team activities, including all scheduled team practices and games.
• Ensure the team complies with the rules and regulations of the New Orleans Athletic League.
• Assists players in achieving athletic success and fostering individual and team goals.
• Be responsible for team equipment.
• Work to establish and improve team unity and spirit.
• Manage the team's weekly field activities and strategic player drills to teach relevant skills and techniques.
• Arrive on time and have a practice plan for each practice and a detailed strategy for each game.
• Lead the team at all regular season games, playoffs, and tournament games.
• Coach in a positive manner and abide by the code of conduct policy.
• Communicate with the Director of Athletics daily.
• Prepare the players for the physical and mental challenges of competitive soccer.
• Identify player strengths and weaknesses and provide feedback to each player individually.
• Enforce safety regulations and procedures by supervising players.

Job Type: Part-time, Mid-November through second week of February

Pay: Dependent on experience.

Schedule: Monday to Friday plus Weekend availability

Education: High school or equivalent (preferred)
