Job summary

Dallas College is seeking a staff athletic coach assistant to support head coaching staff with practices, games, scouting, and player development. The role includes maintaining athletic facilities and data collection for reports, with emphasis on on-campus responsibilities in accordance with Dallas College policy.

The position requires regular attendance, an understanding of NJCAA policies, and adherence to employment background checks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and experience with sports equipment maintenance.
• Understanding of non-athletic aid programs.
• Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with others.
• Oral and written communication skills to deal effectively with individuals and varying levels of Dallas College staff.
• Strong knowledge and experience providing effective customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assists with coaching duties which may include practices, games, scouting, recruiting, player development, conditioning, and the off-season program.
• Represents the college with external individuals and organizations within the college service area to advance the athletics program and community recreational offerings.
• Responsible for the maintenance of the athletic field, mowing, trimming, etc.
• Collect and maintain student-athlete data in order to provide accurate information for reports and/or information about the athletic programs.
• Completes required Dallas College professional development training hours per academic year.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
