Burnsville-Eagan-Savage District 191 is seeking an Assistant Coach for Soccer for Fall with a 1.0 FTE stipend of $2300. The incumbent will oversee team welfare, conduct, and serve as a role model for student-athletes, emphasizing character alongside competition.

The role requires planning practices, coordinating events, and collaborating with the athletics director and booster club on budgets and fundraising, while enforcing policy and promoting sportsmanship.

Qualifications

• Coaching license or MSHSL Coaching Certification preferred.
• Must be current on MSHSL Coaches Dashboard or willing to complete CE.
• Knowledge of Minnesota State High School League rules and ISD 191 policies regarding student conduct.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage schedules effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and parents.
• Willingness to model sportsmanship and emphasize character building over winning.
• Ability to enforce discipline and support athletes in a fair, respectful manner.

Responsibilities

• Organize and administer the athletic program for the team.
• Plan and supervise practices, travel, and competitions.
• Coordinate with the athletics director and booster club on budget and fundraising.
• Support in-season and off-season conditioning and weight training with staff.
• Coordinate practice and game schedules with the athletics office.
• Enforce rules of the league and ISD 191 policies; model discipline and sportsmanship.
• Perform other duties relevant to the program.
