Job summary

Cintel, Inc. is seeking a Mid Level SOC Operations Analyst to support Watch-Floor operations on a rotating shift. You will monitor networks in real time, analyze alerts, and respond to security incidents across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate has hands-on SIEM experience (Splunk Enterprise Security), a solid cybersecurity foundation, and strong incident documentation skills. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and TS/SCI eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with SIEM and threat detection.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and attack vectors.
• Familiarity with network protocols, IDS/IPS, and log analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
• 5+ years of related security operations experience.
• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor networks in real-time for security issues and suspicious activity.
• Investigate and respond to security breaches and incidents.
• Document breaches and assess the scope and impact of each incident.
• Triage alerts generated by security tools (e.g., SIEM).
• Conduct forensic analysis of digital artifacts and logs.
• Assist with penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
• Apply remediation measures and harden security controls.
• Support deployment and monitoring of security technologies (firewalls, encryption).
• Generate incident reports and input for root cause analysis and lessons learned.
• Participate in deployable Incident Response Team tasks.
• Develop timelines and file signature comparisons during investigations.
