Job summary

Austin Water seeks a dedicated Security Operations Center Officer to monitor access control, video surveillance, and alarms across facilities. You will serve as the shift point of contact, providing training and technical guidance during security incidents.

Requires a high school diploma and 2 years in security operations; valid Texas driver license; capable of working night or day shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent and two years of security services experience in a SOC.
• Strong knowledge of security systems, access control, and incident reporting.
• Ability to work in a high-risk security environment and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversees security and access control procedures for all posts and serves as point of contact.
• Monitors alarms and cameras; responds to incidents and conducts investigations.
• Provides training and guidance to site officers and contract personnel as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and prepares periodic management reports.
• Assists law enforcement and coordinates with security teams during incidents.
