Job summary

• Experience leading a Security Operations Center (SOC) team in an MSSP or multi-customer environment.
• Proven ability to manage incident response, threat hunting and security monitoring across cloud ecosystems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

This role is particularly well-suited to a self-starting, experienced, and motivated Security Lead, who is commercially aware, service-oriented, and has a proven record of accomplishment in delivering and managing a security operations centre (SOC.)

The Security Lead will be the face of Rackspace’s security services and responsible for the leadership and management of a multi-disciplinary security operations centre (SOC) that serve Rackspace Cyber Defense customers.

SOC Leadto oversee Security Operations Centre (SOC) activities within an MSSP environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading security operations, threat hunting, incident response, Microsoft Sentinel administration, cloud security monitoring, compliance audits, documentation management, and team development. Support and Implement cloud security monitoring acrossAzure, AWS, and GCP.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead SOC operations in an MSSP environment.(Microsoft Sentinel)

AI & Security Automation:Implement automation and orchestration work flows to improve SOC efficiency.

Compliance, Audit & Governance

Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, NIST, CIS Controls, and other regulatory requirements.

• Experience of leading a team of Security Operations analysts and Engineers.
• Experience of working in MSSP in multi-customer environment.
• Experience of working in large-scale, public cloud environments and using cloud-native security monitoring tools such as: –
• Azure Security Centre and Microsoft Sentinel
• Vulnerability Management: Qualys, Microsoft Defender.
• Endpoint Management: CrowdStrike and Microsoft Defender for Point.
• GCP Security Command Centre, Chronical.
• AWS Security Hub including AWS Guard Duty
• Experience with Microsoft Defender XDR suite.
• A highly self-motivated and proactive individual who wants to learn and grow and has an attention to detail.
• An individual who shows a willingness to go above and beyond in delighting the customer.
• A good communicator who can explain security concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
