Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a SOC Lead to support a company focused on cybersecurity operations, engineering, and compliance for the Department of Energy (DOE) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). This position is on-site at Manassas, VA and Washington, DC. The SOC Lead will oversee cybersecurity operations, threat detection, incident response, and security monitoring efforts across critical environments. Responsibilities for the SOC Lead include:

• Lead and mentor the SOC team while ensuring 24/7 operational readiness and effective day-to-day security operations.
• Direct the detection, investigation, analysis, and response to cybersecurity incidents, serving as the escalation point for critical threats.

Required Qualifications for the SOC Lead include:

• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 4+ years leading a Security Operations Center (SOC) or security operations team.
• Strong experience with SIEM platforms, incident response, threat detection, network defense, vulnerability management, IDS/IPS, and security monitoring tools.
• Proven leadership, analytical, communication, and team development skills with the ability to present technical findings to executive leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Active DOE Q Clearance or Top Secret Clearance.

Compensation for the SOC Lead include:

• Salary Range: $170,000 - $190,000 depending on experience
• Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick Leave as required by law.
