A leading IT staffing firm is seeking an Information Security Operations Center - Incident Handler III to monitor security events and assist with incident response at their Washington, DC location. The role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Strong understanding of networking, security concepts, and excellent communication skills are essential. The candidate must be ready to work shifts and attend in-person interviews.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience in Information Security Incident Handling.
• Experience with CERT/CSIRT/CIRT/SOC.
• Hands-on experience of Incident Response / Malware analysis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Security Events from IDS, SIEM, etc.
• Handle calls regarding incidents/events, perform triage.
• Participate in rotating weekly shift supporting off hours and weekend activity.

Skills

Monitoring skills related to IDS and SIEM

Understanding of TCP/IP

Hands-on knowledge of Network Packet Analysis

Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
