Thrive is seeking a Director to lead and supervise our Security Operations Center, elevating service quality and incident response. You will mentor Tier 1/2 analysts, drive threat detection, and manage resources to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related discipline preferred.
• Experience in system administration supporting multiple platforms.
• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience creating playbooks and effective security processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 2-3 years of SOC experience; managerial experience preferred.
• CISSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of Thrive's Security Operations Center and mentor Tier 1 and 2 SOC Analysts.
• Primarily responsible for security event monitoring, incident response, and resource management.
• Develop and implement processes and procedures for incident response, threat detection, and security event management.
• Develop playbooks for incident response and incident management processes, including threat triage and investigation.
• Ensure compliance to SLA, process adherence and process improvement.
• Perform threat management, threat modeling, identify threat vectors and develop use cases.
• Proactive monitoring and response to known and emerging threats.
• Creation of reports, dashboards, and metrics for clients and senior management.
• Motivate and coach individual contributors to achieve departmental goals.
• Drive continuous improvement of SOC incident handling and investigations.
• Define metrics and KPIs to drive quality and efficiency.
• Conduct annual performance reviews for all direct reports.
• Escalation point for SOC customer service and technical issues.
• Adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Other duties as required.
