Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking an experienced SoC Audio Engineer, Platform Architecture to define the audio subsystem architecture across Apple’s family of SoCs. You will work with Silicon, Software, Hardware, and Firmware teams from concept through tape-out to shipping products.

This role emphasizes architecture over IP design, with ownership of multi-generational roadmaps, performance/power trade-offs, and collaboration with cross-functional groups to deliver scalable audio experiences across devices.

Qualifications

• Experience with SoC architecture principles and audio processing.
• Master's degree with 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Familiarity with on-chip fabric, memory concepts, clocking, reset and power management.

Responsibilities

• Define and own architecture specifications for audio subsystems across multiple SoC product lines.
• Author and maintain multi-generational technical roadmaps for audio subsystems, securing executive buy-in.
• Contribute to performance and power modeling of audio workloads to determine subsystem sizing and partitioning.
• Collaborate with Silicon Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, and Firmware teams from concept through tape-out.
• Present architecture and performance study results to cross-functional and executive audiences.
• Mentor engineers and support onboarding and talent development within the team.
