Job summary

Security Service Federal Credit Union's SOC Analyst I evaluates and coordinates responses to incidents affecting employees and locations. You will monitor security events, communicate with SSFCU personnel, law enforcement, EMS, and fire services, and maintain incident logs and reports.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 3+ years in security-related work, and proficiency with Outlook/TEAMS, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of security related work experience including law enforcement dispatch center, SOC experience, or other fast-paced, high stress environment with the requirement to resolve multiple interruption-driven priorities simultaneously.
  • The ability to guide discussions, overcome obstacles, identify, recommend, and implement workable solutions.
  • Must remain onsite or work extended hours during natural disasters and unusual occurrences.
  • Computer software proficiency including Microsoft Outlook/TEAMS, Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and provide seven day a week twenty-four hour a day coverage.
  • Local distance travel may be required for business purposes occasionally.
  • Valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and insurability.
  • Lift 25 lbs. without assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and coordinates responses to incidents and emergency situations related to employees and/or company locations.
  • Communicates security related matters to uniformed security personnel and provides continuous real-time actionable support through video analysis, direct communication with SSFCU personnel along with law enforcement, EMS or fire service when the need demands.
  • Maintains knowledge of security protocols and technologies; video management system (VMS), site security configurations, access coding, incident databases, enterprise intrusion/trouble systems, remote programming systems.
  • Possesses verbal and writing skills to assess, document and articulate incidents for review by leadership.
  • Performs video review, retrieval, analytical and investigative functions.
  • Performs link analysis to identify patterns of like behavior, criminal conduct, and suspicious behavior to facilitate information sharing and actionable measures.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and identifies solutions to alarm activations at 70+ branch sites, main campus and other properties.
  • Assists in coordinating incident response to remediate security and spontaneous events when needed.
  • Assesses, investigates, documents, and reports security concerns and emerging security trends.
  • Monitors enterprise access control systems including support for localized users, software configuration, verification of door function, door position switches, and card readers inventory control.
  • Updates and maintains security activity logs and daily operational reports.
  • Documents entries for updates and when needed coordinates maintenance on alarms and more.
  • Exhibits a calm sense of urgency during problem analysis.
  • Follows up to ensure satisfactory resolution with internal stakeholders.
  • Completes any other job-related duties needed to help drive to our organization’s vision, purpose, and values.

What You Will Do

Communicates security related matters to uniformed security personnel and provides continuous real-time actionable support through video analysis, direct communication with SSFCU personnel along with law enforcement, EMS or fire service when the need demands. Maintain a clear understanding of business machines and programs with aptitude for superior knowledge of security protocols and technologies; video management system (VMS), site security configurations, access coding, incident databases, enterprise intrusion/trouble systems, remote programming systems. Finally, possess the verbal and writing skills necessary to assess, document and articulate incidents for review by leadership. Performs video review, retrieval, analytical and investigative functions. Performs link analysis to identify patterns of like behavior, criminal conduct, and suspicious behavior to facilitate information sharing and actionable measures. Monitors, analyzes, and identifies solutions to alarm activations at the 70-plus branch sites, the SFFCU main campus and other properties. Duties also include monitoring special events on SSFCU property, coordinating with security personnel, contracted law enforcement personnel and event management to implement professional security plans. Assists in the coordination of the incident response to remediate security and other spontaneous events when needed. Ability to assess, investigate, document, and report security concerns and emerging security trends. Monitors enterprise access control systems including support for localized users, software configuration, verification of door function, door position switches, and card readers inventory control. Updates and maintain security activity logs and daily operational reports. Document entries for updates and when needed coordinates maintenance on alarms and more. Exhibits a calm sense of urgency during problem analysis. Follows up to ensure satisfactory resolution with internal stakeholders. Ideal Candidate Will Have

Previous law enforcement and/or Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in a related field is highly desirable. Security and safety related certifications are desirable. Financial Institution experience with security experience. Security and safety related certifications. Ability to prioritize and complete numerous projects and tasks with optimum efficiency and productivity. Associate degree in a related field is preferred.
