Job summary

Phoenix Cyber is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant (SOAR) for onsite work in the Washington, DC area. You will join the client delivery team to design innovative security automation and orchestration solutions that enable rapid, consistent incident response.

The role requires a STEM degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years in security consulting, and strong Python development. Proficiency in Bash/PowerShell, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, and API work is expected.

Qualifications

• STEM degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant security consulting experience.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Experience with Bash and PowerShell in mixed OS environments.
• 3+ years of software development with COTS integration.
• Proficiency in C#, JavaScript, or Node.js, plus API work.
• Prior consulting experience with clients or on projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver SOAR-based security solutions.
• Develop automation to support incident response workflows.
• Collaborate with SMEs, engineers, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Adapt quickly to a fast-changing client delivery environment.
