West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking a contract/hourly extracurricular educator to support students in core subjects, plan small-group interventions, and lead enrichment activities aligned with K-3 WVCCR standards.
The role requires a Bachelor's in education, teaching certification or equivalent experience, and strong interpersonal/organizational skills. Training in the Science of Reading and Numeracy is preferred. First aid/CPR certification is encouraged for at least one staff per site.
Position Type: Professional - extracurricular
Provide academic support in core subjects (math, reading, science, etc.).
Utilize knowledge in the Science of Reading, Mathematical Habits of Mind, and Evidence- based practices to plan and facilitate small-group instruction and intervention in ELA & Math.
Assist with homework and deliver targeted interventions for struggling students.
Lead small-group enrichment activities (e.g., STEM, arts) and programs that utilize the K-3 WVCCR standards.
Monitor student behavior
Collaborate with site coordinators and lead teacher to track progress.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Bachelor's degree in education (Multi-Subjects K-6, K-8 Elem Ed K-6; K-5; or 1-6 required)
Training in the Science of Reading and Numeracy, preferred
Valid teaching certification or equivalent experience as an educator.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Organizational skills.
Experienced educator
First aid/CPR certification (preferred but required for at least one staff per site).
