Job summary

EY is seeking a SOAR Engineering Manager to lead the design, delivery, and optimization of security automation solutions. You will guide architecture, implementation, and operation across security operations, incident response, threat detection, engineering, and business stakeholders.

This role combines technical leadership with client advisory, delivery management, and team development to shape automation strategies and drive measurable value from cybersecurity investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in security automation or SOAR.
• Experience leading enterprise SOAR implementations.
• Strong scripting in Python/PowerShell/JavaScript.
• Experience designing REST APIs and integrations.
• Knowledge of SOC processes.
• Experience integrating security tech across SIEM/EDR/IAM.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Certifications or ability to obtain one after employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SOAR and security automation engagements from discovery to deployment.
• Advise on automation strategy, governance, platform selection, and SOC improvements.
• Own solution architecture and delivery quality for enterprise SOAR implementations.
• Design playbooks for incident triage, enrichment, investigation, remediation, and reporting.
• Oversee integrations across SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, cloud security, and collaboration tools.
• Provide oversight for custom integrations, APIs, connectors, and reusable frameworks.
• Facilitate executive briefings and translate findings into actionable plans.
• Manage scope, risks, staffing, and financial performance of engagements.
• Establish engineering standards and production support models for automation.
