Job summary

EY is seeking a SOAR Engineering Manager to lead the design, delivery, and optimization of security automation solutions that help clients detect and respond to threats faster. You will guide architecture, ensure scalable deployments, and collaborate with security operations, incident response, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, MIS, or related field.
• 6-10 years of experience in security automation or SOAR engineering.
• Hands-on with enterprise SOAR platforms (XSOAR, Splunk SOAR, Swimlane, etc.).
• Strong software development and scripting (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript).
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrations.
• Knowledge of SOC processes and security technologies.
• Ability to lead client-facing engagements and manage delivery risks.
• Industry certifications or ability to obtain one after employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SOAR and security automation engagements from discovery to deployment.
• Advise clients on automation strategy, operating models, and governance.
• Own solution architecture and delivery quality for enterprise SOAR implementations.
• Design and develop playbooks for incident triage, enrichment, investigation, remediation, and reporting.
• Oversee integrations across SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, cloud security, and more.
• Provide technical oversight for custom integrations, APIs, and cloud-native automation.
• Facilitate executive briefings, architecture reviews, and client workshops.
• Manage engagement scope, risks, staffing, and delivery milestones; ensure client satisfaction.
• Establish engineering standards, governance, testing practices, and production support.
• Lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary teams; review work and provide feedback.
• Identify follow-on opportunities, contribute to proposals, and grow the security automation practice.
• Maintain awareness of emerging threats, AI-assisted security, and evolving SOAR platforms.
