Job summary

LifeWorks of Austin, TX, is seeking a dedicated SOAR Specialist to join the Navigation team. This full-time role provides vital advocacy and training to clients looking to apply for SSI/SSDI benefits and supports youth facing homelessness or serious mental health issues.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with Case Managers and community agencies, ensuring effective service coordination, while complying with documentation and legal requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires 2 years relevant experience with youth or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver's license within 30 days.
• Standard First-Aid and CPR Certification as required by individual program, can obtain post hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for clients applying for SSI/SSDI benefits.
• Conduct initial assessments for benefits eligibility.
• Complete interviews with clients to gather necessary information.
