Job summary

Xanadu is seeking a Photonics Fabrication Process Engineer in Santa Clara, CA to join the Hardware Team. You will develop and deliver advanced SNSPD detectors and expand cleanroom capabilities, collaborating with foundry partners to optimize integration and achieve high-quality chips.

The role requires a PhD and 5+ years in cleanroom process development, with expertise in lithography, deposition, etching, and metrology.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering, Experimental Sciences, or related field.
• 5+ years cleanroom process development in device fabrication.
• Experience operating cleanroom tools: photolithography, e-beam lithography, deposition, etching, CMP.

Responsibilities

• Expand SNSPD process development at Bay Area facilities.
• Collaborate with foundry partners to optimize integration schemes.
• Define metrology and failure analysis plans for process integration.
• Ensure detector performance metrics are met in delivered chips.
• Stay updated on photonics fabrication developments.
• Deliver state-of-the-art SNSPD chips.
