Job summary

Boyne Resorts is seeking seasonal snowmaking staff at Pleasant Mountain to maintain optimal skiing conditions for the 2026-27 winter season. You will operate and care for snowmaking equipment, monitor snow quality, and work a flexible schedule in various weather conditions.

Ideal candidates are 18+, capable of lifting 50 lbs, and comfortable working outdoors in winter, with a teamwork mindset and commitment to safety. Benefits include season passes and resort discounts at Boyne locations.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Basic hand tool knowledge required.
Able to work in a fast-paced, potentially high-pressurued environment.
Flexible with hours and days of work.
Able to work in harsh winter conditions outdoors.

Responsibilities

Operate snowmaking equipment on mountainous terrain in all weather, including setup, startup, operation and shutdown.
Inspect guns, hoses, hydrants and equipment for safe, efficient operation.
Monitor snow quality and proper air/water mix.
Work flexible day and night shifts, weekends and holidays.
Operate high voltage equipment and manage safety protocols.
Set up, tear down and maintain snowmaking equipment on trails.
Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of equipment and facilities.
Report repairs or malfunctions to supervisors.
Receive daily instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
