Job summary

Vail Resorts in Colorado is seeking a Snowmaker to brave the elements and help prepare the mountain for guests. You’ll operate snowmaking equipment and vehicles, ensuring a high-quality skiing surface while collaborating with a team in a dynamic winter environment.

The role offers a starting wage of $20.00–$23.00 per hour, seasonal employment for 2026/2027, and full-time hours where available. Housing may be available, with strong training and development opportunities plus extensive employee

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic hand tool knowledge.
• Able to work extended hours outdoors in an alpine environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate all snowmaking equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operate all vehicles, including snowmobiles, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform basic snowmaking equipment maintenance.
• Work on the production of snow to create the best skiing surface for our guests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

As a Snowmaker, you will brave the elements and help build out the mountain for the skiing guest. Snowmaking is a physically demanding and exciting job. Work with some of the most fascinating equipment on the mountain, and make it snow!
