Job summary

Big Bear Mountain Resort, part of Alterra Mountain Company, is seeking a Snowmaking Operator at Snow Summit. The role supports safe, efficient operation of snowmaking equipment and helps achieve daily goals in a fast-paced winter environment.

Starting wage between $20.00/hr and $22.80/hr, depending on experience, with opportunities to contribute to three mountains and seasonal events. Applicants must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• At least eighteen (18) years old.
• Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to carry out multi-step instructions.
• A valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Able to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Familiarity and working knowledge of OSHA and safety practices preferred.
• Must be able to pass Company certification as a Snowmobile Operator.
• Ability to operate equipment as trained.
• Ability to read and comply with documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Able to work flexible schedules, including second and third shifts.
