Job summary

Rcinfotech in Atlanta is seeking a Snowflake SRE to administer Snowflake environments on AWS and ensure high performance and availability. You will diagnose issues, tune performance, and work with the team to raise and track support tickets.

Responsibilities include implementing security models, creating databases, schemas, and data sharing, plus cost planning and automation of manual tasks. A 24/7 on-call rotation is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/IT.
• 10+ years of experience as a database administrator.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Snowflake administration on AWS.
• Experience with scripting (Unix shell, Python).
• AWS knowledge including S3, EC2, VPC, IAM, Networking, Security.
• Disaster Recovery and High Availability experience.
• Ability to document processes and project plans for team use.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and customer relationship skills.
• Willingness to provide 24/7 on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Admin Snowflake environments on AWS.
• Identify, tune, and fix performance issues on priority.
• Diagnose Snowflake errors and manage tickets with team follow-ups.
• Implement security, roles, users, and privileges.
• Create database objects and data sharing.
• Plan Snowflake utilization and cost, identify abnormalities.
• Automate manual processes to improve efficiency.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support.
