Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Snowflake Developer / Data Engineer to mature and enhance an existing Snowflake platform. You will hands-on develop with Snowflake Cortex, Streamlit, and cloud-based data solutions in an Agile setting.

The role emphasizes building scalable data products, implementing new Snowflake features, and collaborating with data engineering teams to improve platform maturity and performance. Strong Python/Java development is required.

Qualifications

• 5-6+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Software Development.
• Strong Snowflake expertise and Snowflake Cortex experience.
• Experience with Streamlit and cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new features within the Snowflake platform.
• Enable and integrate Snowflake Cortex capabilities.
• Design and develop applications using Streamlit within Snowflake.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance platform maturity and functionality.
• Support administration, optimization, and performance tuning of Snowflake environments.
• Build solutions using Python and/or Java.
• Integrate Snowflake with external platforms and tools such as Databricks.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and deliver work in weekly sprint cycles.
