Job summary

Brooksource is seeking an experienced Snowflake Backend Developer to support a healthcare analytics product focused on provider performance and quality analytics.

You will collaborate with analytics SMEs, Power BI developers, and stakeholders to enhance Snowflake architecture and build backend data structures for an enterprise reporting application, including data modelling, SQL development, security, testing, and deployment.

Qualifications

• Experience developing solutions in Snowflake Data Warehouse.
• Advanced SQL development and performance tuning skills.
• Knowledge of dimensional data modeling including fact and dimension tables.

Responsibilities

• Review existing architecture and translate requirements into Snowflake backend solutions.
• Analyze and optimize SQL for performance and maintainability.
• Design and develop fact tables, supporting views, and dimensional models.
• Develop app-to-app integrations and support security/data-access requirements.
• Perform unit testing and data validation throughout the lifecycle.
• Support migration, deployment, and production releases across Dev/Test/Prod environments.

Rate: $55 - $60

Contract: Short term contract through the end of 2026, with potential extension into 2027

About the Role

Brooksource is seeking an experienced Snowflake Backend Developer to support the development of a healthcare analytics product focused on provider performance and quality analytics.

In this role, you will partner with analytics SMEs, Power BI developers, and technical stakeholders to enhance an existing Snowflake-based architecture and build the backend data structures supporting an enterprise reporting application. You will work across data modelling, SQL development, Snowflake Standard Apps, integrations, security, testing, and deployment.

This opportunity is well suited for a hands‑on Snowflake engineer who is comfortable working within a structured application‑development lifecycle, including source control, multiple deployment environments, testing, and production release activities.

What You’ll Do

• Review existing application architecture and translate project requirements into scalable Snowflake backend solutions.
• Analyze, enhance, and optimize SQL provided by project SMEs for performance and maintainability.
• Design and develop fact tables, supporting views, and dimensional data models.
• Develop app‑to‑app integrations and support security and data‑access requirements.
• Perform unit testing, data validation, and troubleshooting throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support migration, deployment, and production release activities across Dev/Test/Prod environments.

What You Bring

• Strong professional experience developing solutions within Snowflake Data Warehouse.
• Advanced SQL development, optimisation, and performance‑tuning skills.
• Strong understanding of dimensional data modelling, including fact tables and supporting analytical structures.
• Experience working within structured Dev/Test/Prod deployment practices and using Git for source control.
• Ability to independently understand existing architecture and translate requirements into backend solutions.
• Experience with healthcare analytics, claims/provider data, Power BI integration, or provider analytics environments is preferred.
