Job summary

Brite Systems builds data pipelines and analytics solutions for government and commercial clients from a US base. The Data Engineer will design and operate multi-source ingestion pipelines into Snowflake, develop Snowpark transformations in Python/SQL, and ensure data quality across multiple environments.

The role requires strong Python/SQL skills, Snowflake production experience, and dbt expertise within an Agile team cadence. Remote/hybrid work with occasional in-person meetings is available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with Python and SQL.
• Hands-on production experience with Snowflake; SnowPro Core certification preferred.
• Experience with dbt and modern ELT/ETL pipeline design and orchestration.
• Exposure to AWS data services is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a two-week Agile sprint cadence with transparent reporting.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ingestion pipelines using Snowpipe, Streams and Tasks and dbt without sacrificing data freshness.
• Develop Snowpark-based Python and SQL transformation workloads.
• Onboard new source systems across Build and Scale phases.
• Implement data quality checks and resolve pipeline issues.
• Support Data Scientist and Data Visualization Engineer with clean, governed data sets.
• Participate in two-week sprint ceremonies and contribute to sprint reporting and risk tracking.
• Knowledge of AWS KMS encryption and high-volume Snowflake ingestion patterns.
• Understand MuleSoft data consumption and integration architectures.
