Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Snowflake Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and Snowflake objects. The role includes Azure web app development with React/Angular and backend APIs using .NET Core, Node.js, or Python FastAPI, plus ETL/ELT with Azure Data Factory.

The contractor will work on secure, scalable data solutions and contribute to full-stack delivery across UI, API, and data layers, with CI/CD practices and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong Snowflake experience with SQL, schema design and data loading.
• Frontend skills in React/Angular with HTML/CSS/JS/TS.
• Backend API development with .NET Core, Node.js or Python FastAPI.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory pipelines for ETL/ELT.

Responsibilities

• Develop data loading strategies, tuning, and performance fixes.

Job Description

We are seeking a Snowflake Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Snowflake engineering, Azure development, modern web application and API development, and data integration and a proven ability to design performant data models and pipelines, build secure web applications and services, and troubleshoot across the full stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize Snowflake objects including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and tasks.
• Develop data models and loading strategies, including schema design, query tuning, and performance troubleshooting.
• Build Azure web applications and user interfaces using React.js, Angular, or similar frameworks.
• Create backend APIs using .NET Core, Node.js, Python FastAPI, or similar frameworks and integrate with REST services.
• Develop, schedule, monitor, and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines for ETL/ELT processes.
• Integrate applications with Snowflake, SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Blob Storage.
• Implement Redis cache-aside patterns and troubleshoot cache performance.
• Apply web application security best practices, including authentication, authorization, RBAC, OAuth, SSO, JWT, and secure API access.
• Troubleshoot issues across UI, API, database, pipelines, and access layers.
• Use CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows for version control and deployments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong Snowflake experience, including SQL, objects development, schema design, data loading, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Frontend development with React.js, Angular, or similar, with solid HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript skills.
• Backend API development using .NET Core, Node.js, Python FastAPI, or comparable frameworks and REST integration.
• Azure Data Factory pipeline development, scheduling, monitoring, and maintenance with ETL/ELT patterns.
• Experience integrating Snowflake, SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Blob Storage.
• Redis cache knowledge, including cache-aside patterns and performance tuning.
• Web application security knowledge across authentication, authorization, RBAC, OAuth, SSO, JWT, and secure APIs.
• Troubleshooting skills across UI, API, database, data pipelines, and access control.
• CI/CD experience with GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps and Git-based branching, pull requests, and deployment workflows.

Preferred Skills

• Azure web application development and cloud services integration.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
