Job summary

Brite Systems, Inc. is seeking a Database Architect to own the Snowflake data foundation, modeling, governance, and performance engineering. You will set standards for Data Engineer and Data Scientist workloads, ensuring security, cost discipline, and scalability as data use grows.

The role requires 8+ years in data architecture with 3+ years in Snowflake, plus SnowPro Core certification. Remote/hybrid work is offered with a focus on federal/regulatory environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS, data engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years enterprise data architecture experience, 3+ in Snowflake.
• SnowPro Core certification required; SnowPro Advanced preferred.
• Experience implementing governance and security in regulated or federal environments.
• Hands-on with dbt, Snowpipe, Streams and Tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design target-state Snowflake architecture and data model.
• Define governance, RBAC, data masking, and row-level security.
• Lead performance and cost engineering: warehouse sizing, clustering, materialized views.
• Review multi-source ingestion pipelines (Snowpipe, Streams and Tasks).
• Collaborate on Snowpark-based transformations to minimize data movement.
• Design MuleSoft ingestion patterns and secure data sharing.
• Implement secure views and external data sharing patterns.
• Define staging formats Parquet, JSON, ORC.
