Qualifications

• Understanding of enterprise data governance, including ownership, stewardship, data quality, privacy, and protection.
• Ability to translate governance policies into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and implementation of Snowflake Horizon.
• Design and implement data classification, tagging, lineage, metadata, and governance controls.
• Configure Snowflake security including RBAC, dynamic data masking, row access policies, and tag-based policies.
• Translate enterprise data governance requirements into technical Snowflake controls and standards.
• Partner with data owners, stewards, security, and engineering teams to operationalize governance.
• Establish reusable architecture patterns, standards, and implementation documentation.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Architect to lead the implementation of Snowflake Horizon and related data governance capabilities. The ideal candidate will combine deep Snowflake platform expertise with hands-on experience implementing governance, security, classification, metadata, and access controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and implementation of Snowflake Horizon capabilities.
• Design and implement data classification, tagging, lineage, metadata, and governance controls.
• Configure Snowflake security including RBAC, dynamic data masking, row access policies, and tag-based policies.
• Translate enterprise data governance requirements into technical Snowflake controls and standards.
• Partner with data owners, stewards, security, and engineering teams to operationalize governance.
• Establish reusable architecture patterns, standards, and implementation documentation.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of data architecture or engineering experience with strong hands-on Snowflake expertise.
• Experience implementing data governance within Snowflake.

Preferred

• Direct experience implementing Snowflake Horizon.
• SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced: Architect certification.
• Experience integrating Snowflake with governance platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, or Informatica.
