Job summary

Elevate Outdoor Collective is seeking an experienced Development Engineer to design and develop new snowboard products at our Bellevue, WA HQ. You will work closely with the Product Director, Product Line Manager and teammates to ensure high quality, durable, and cost-effective designs.

The role involves prototyping, documentation, vendor coordination, testing on-snow and in-lab, and cross-functional collaboration with sales and marketing to bring products to market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or equivalent.
• 4-8 years’ work experience in product development.
• Experienced snowboarder.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Suite.
• 3D CAD modeling familiarity in SolidWorks, Onshape or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Self-motivated, excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop specific designs and technologies to meet category needs.
• Execute the design process and generate files to create cost-efficient, durable, and manufacturable products.
• Coordinate testing of the products and prototypes with focus groups and lead feedback meetings.
• Personally testing product on-snow and in the lab.
• Work closely with sales and marketing teams maintaining communication through the design cycle.
• Create documents to improve understanding of the product line and technologies.
