Job summary

Russell Landscaping Inc. is seeking a dependable Front End Loader Operator with snow removal duties for the Metro Detroit area. You will operate a front end loader to move materials and perform winter plowing with safe, efficient methods.

Responsibilities include loading materials, applying de-icers, inspecting equipment, and logging activities. The role may require nights, weekends and holidays during snow events; CDL is preferred for snow operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred for snow ops.
• Minimum 2 years operating front end loaders.
• Prior snow removal or winter operations experience preferred.
• Knowledge of loader-mounted blades, push boxes, and salt spreaders.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays during snow events.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate front end loader to move soil, gravel, debris, and other materials.
• Perform snow plowing and removal using loader attachments during winter operations.
• Clear roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and other designated areas safely.
• Apply salt or de-icing agents when required.
• Monitor weather and respond to emergency snow calls, often off-hours.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections.
• Maintain logs of snow removal activities and equipment usage.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and crew.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
