Job summary

Brilar LLC is seeking Snow Removal Equipment Operator in Michigan to support operations in Romulus and Oak Park. The role is seasonal with potential to transition to full-time based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities include operating snow removal machinery to clear commercial properties and roadways, and remaining on call during winter months to respond to conditions and events. You will work outdoors in varying winter weather and contribute to safe, efficient snow management.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in snow removal or heavy equipment operation.
• Able to work outdoors in winter conditions.
• Able to be on call 24/7 during winter months.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Punctual, reliable, trainable and coachable.

As a Snow Removal Equipment Operator, you may operate a variety of heavy equipment, including, but not limited to, snowplows and salt trucks, skid steers, front-end loaders, snow rators, and tractors, among other wheel loader equipment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Remove snow safely and efficiently from commercial properties, including but not limited to multi-family locations, parking lots, and the exteriors of high-traffic facilities using skid steer, wheel loader, front-end loader, snow rator, tractor, or using plow blade attachments
• Operate heavy equipment to clear roadways, loading areas, docks, parking lots, among others in winter conditions including snow, snow/rain mix, extreme weather, and temperatures
• Remove snow to create a safe pathway for the public, pedestrians, and traffic
• Report to branch or assigned location within the time frame given
• Be on call during the winter months for all snow and ice events
• May assist during a snow and ice event by operating other snow or salt spreading equipment
• Ensure work is being conducted in a safe manner, and maintain work areas safe for the employee, the customer, the public and the environment.
• Performs at a high and safe level of productivity

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Pass a driver's background check
• Able to work outdoors in different weather conditions
• Able to be on call 24/7 during winter months
• Able to handle the physical demands of the position
• Be punctual and reliable
• Trainable, coachable, and able to grasp new concepts quickly
