Job summary

North Central University is seeking a Snow Crew Equipment Operator on a student-employment basis to keep campus walkways clear during snow events. The role pays $17.75 per hour and reports to Maintenance – Grounds Technician I.

The position is winter seasonal and on-call, with PPE provided and a year-end bonus if requirements are met. Shift hours vary, and six positions are available.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled student at NCU.
• Knowledge of basic equipment operation & care.
• Ability to communicate well on various platforms to insure shared understanding of information & responsibilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Use of hand tools.
• Experience in equipment operation & snow removal preferred.

Responsibilities

• Usage of machinery to remove snow from campus walkways.
• Attending to on-call shifts outside of business hours during snow events.
• Maintain communication with the Maintenance Supervisor via email, text, or phone call.
• Monitor weather conditions and prepare accordingly.
• Routine care/maintenance of machinery used.
