Job summary

Lever, Inc. seeks a Program Manager for the USNIC program in Suitland, MD. This full-time, hybrid role focuses on leading the Operational Snow and Ice Analysts team, coordinating satellite imagery tasks, and delivering meteorological and oceanographic analyses to support US government operations.

You will coordinate observations, supervise staff, present briefings to customers, and ensure SOP compliance while managing COOP exercises and monthly reporting.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Meteorology, Climatology or Oceanography.
• Satellite tasking and planning experience.
• Project management experience.
• Knowledge of remote sensing: visible, radar, microwave, SAR.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Quick learner for Ice climatology related to satellite planning.
• Experience with Python programming.
• Basic ArcGIS usage for visualization of imagery.
• Visual Basic programming experience.
• Experience working with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Operational Snow and Ice Analysts and Observations Lead to meet PWS requirements.
• Analyze remotely-sensed data to produce real-time snow and ice products.
• Coordinate and monitor satellite observations for operational use.
• Fill in for vacancies as needed and ensure contract deliverables meet quality standards.
• Present briefings and engage with customers at workshops and meetings.
• Support COOP exercises and update SOP documents monthly.
