Job summary

Vail Resorts in Florida is seeking a Snowcat Operator for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027. You will groom and prepare snow surfaces, operating grooming equipment and collaborating with a team to ensure optimal trail conditions.

Starting pay ranges from $20.00 to $23.00 per hour, with full-time shift availability. Housing is not provided; applicants must be 18+ and fluent in English. This role supports the resort’s commitment to guest experience and safety.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
• Experience operating heavy machinery.
• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Fluent English communication.
• Ability to safely climb in/out of machinery.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of grooming equipment.
• Prepare and groom ski area trails and surfaces.
• Work collaboratively with others.
• Minimize downtime through preventative maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of machines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Seeking self-motivated, coordinated, and meticulous people to save their days for skiing, and use their nights to return the trails to a perfectly groomed state.

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr -$23.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
