Job summary

Recology Snohomish is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the site operations, supervise the Operations Supervisors, and ensure safe, efficient, and compliant performance. You will apply training, budgeting, and reporting processes while coordinating with government staff as needed.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a preferred Bachelor\'s degree, and proven management experience in industrial or waste-management settings. Valid driver\'s license required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor\'s degree preferred.
• Management experience in industrial, construction, manufacturing, recycling/waste management environment or related industry.
• Principles of employee training, supervision, and evaluation.
• Supervisory techniques, resource allocation, planning and budgeting.
• Valid Driver\'s License required.

Responsibilities

• Manages operations of site consistent with established operating plans.
• Confirms employee's assignments are allocated for efficient and effective operations. Monitors work to ensure safe, efficient, effective, and compliant operations.
• Establishes that all employees are properly trained and licensed to operate and/or maintain all equipment.
• Ensures policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreement (as applicable) are followed.
• Identifies all potential rule infractions and implements corrective actions and/or processes to avoid future infractions.
• Maintains and generates records of operations and submits reports as directed. Generates and analyzes operational reports and make recommendations as appropriate.
• Investigates and resolves customer inquiries and complaints not resolved by subordinates. Adjusts rate and billing disputes as necessary.
• Prepares or assists in preparing budgets and plans for equipment and staffing.
• May work directly with government/city staff on behalf of the company.
• Represents the company in community activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
