Job summary

J&J Snack Foods Corp in Rock Island, IL, is seeking a Production Associate to support the daily runs of cookies, cakes, and pies under the supervision of the Production Supervisor. You will perform a variety of hands-on tasks in both Raw and RTE production to help ensure product quality and output.

Responsibilities include operating depositing equipment, monitoring product quality, completing production paperwork, packing items to standard, and assisting with moves and palletizing on the floor.

Qualifications

• GMP compliance and SQF programs are required.
• Ability to multi-task and work under supervision.
• Strong communication with team and supervisor.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operates depositing equipment and troubleshoots small problems, contacting the supervisor for larger issues.
• Monitors the quality of product and notifies supervisor of any issues.
• Completes production paperwork timely and accurately.
• Packs product into packaging according to company standards.
• Moves baking racks to different areas of the production floor as needed.
• Loads baking racks with pans, unloads pans to the packing line.
• Loads the denester with clamshells and palletizes completed cases for shipment.
• Follows GMP, SQF, and FDA regulations and maintains clean work area.
• Demonstrates reliable attendance and preparedness for each shift, and trains others as requested.
