Snack Bar Attendant, Whitman’s Late-night

Join our lively late-night snack bar team! We're seeking an energetic and customer-focused Snack Bar Attendant to provide exceptional service and delicious food to our campus community. Pay starts at $21.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

This is 40 hours weekly, 9-month academic position, with the following scheduled hours: Tuesday through Saturday 5:30 pm - 2:00 am Schedules are subject to change based on departmental needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in food preparation and service, including set-up and breakdown.
  • Perform cooking duties as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Restock food items as needed.
  • Assist with inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards.
  • Conduct daily cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • May be asked to work overtime, and work schedules may vary to include weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.

Qualifications:

  • Enthusiastic and energetic demeanor.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Knowledge and ability to work on a grill.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Flexibility to handle varying schedules.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Capability to lift heavy objects up to 40 pounds.
  • Professional demeanor in relating to customers and staff.
  • Kitchen experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of food service preferred.
