Qualifications

• Ed.S., Ph.D., or Psy.D. in School Psychology from a NASP-approved or APA-accredited program.
• NCSP credential from NASP or active state certification/license in good standing.
• Active Tennessee School Psychologist certification or license in good standing, or documented initiation of transfer prior to start date.
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, psychoeducational evaluation methodology, and special education eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations assessing cognitive ability, academic achievement, social-emotional functioning, and adaptive behavior using appropriate standardized instruments.
• Evaluate for special education eligibility categories and translate assessment findings into clear, actionable educational recommendations.
• Write clinically rigorous, legally defensible psychoeducational reports that are understandable to families, educators, and IEP team members.
• Lead or participate in eligibility determination and IEP meetings and complete re-evaluations within required timelines.
• Provide mental health consultation and crisis support, including structured threat assessment and safety planning when appropriate.
• Support RTI/MTSS frameworks, early identification, universal screening, progress monitoring, and problem-solving teams.
• Promote culturally responsive, equitable evaluation and referral practices.
• Collaborate with families, educators, clinicians, and multidisciplinary school teams.
• Maintain accurate evaluation records, service logs, and eligibility documentation in compliance with IDEA and state requirements.

What You'll Do
