Job summary

Mer-Mar Electronics in Hesperia, California is looking for an SMT Touch-Up & Rework Technician to perform precision soldering and ensure quality in PCBAs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electronic components and assembly processes, along with relevant IPC training.

This role requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment. The position offers full benefits including health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience soldering electronic components for PCBAs is preferred.
• IPC 610 and JEDEC J-STD-001 trained is a plus.
• Familiarity with ESD / MSL requirements is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision soldering on PCBAs.
• Interpret drawings, bills of material, and work instructions.
• Work safely with personal protective equipment.
• Detect equipment malfunctions visually and acoustically.
• Maintain product traceability.

The SMT Touch-Up & Rework Technician is responsible for performing various duties within the SMT assembly area in accordance with established procedures and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Precision Soldering on PCBAs
• The Operator must be able to interpret drawings, bills of material, manuals and other work instructions.
• Must work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries, this includes wearing personal protective equipment such as safety glasses.
• Detects malfunctions of the assembly equipment through visual and audio ques.
• Communicates with the Senior Technician and QC personnel to resolve quality issues.
• Makes appropriate entries into Travelers, Time Standards and the Work Order Document Package.
• Maintains traceability of product.

Preferred, but not required

• 2-Years experience Soldering Electronic Components for PCBAs
• IPC 610 trained
• JEDEC J-STD-001 trained
• Extra IPC standards knowledge is a plus
• Familiar with ESD / MSL requirements for components and PCB/PCBAs
