Job summary

PICA Manufacturing Solutions in the United States (New Hampshire) is seeking an SMT Technician to program and operate Mycronic pick and place machines and related equipment for surface mount PCB assemblies. The role emphasizes proactive preventive maintenance to ensure on-time delivery with zero defects while upholding productivity and safety standards.

You will program Mycronic Jet Printer, set up reflow ovens, inspect solder paste, troubleshoot machines, and perform manual component placement

Qualifications

• Attention to detail required.
• Mycronic training or machine skills a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 specification.

Responsibilities

• Program and run Mycronic pick and place machines.
• Program and run Mycronic Jet Printer.
• Set up and operate reflow oven.
• Operate production equipment maintaining quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Monitor equipment to ensure assemblies meet print and workmanship standards.
• Inspect solder paste and component alignment for accuracy.
• Identify defects per workmanship standards.
• Perform manual placement of SMT and PIH components as needed.
• Load feeders and wash boards as needed.
• Electrical testing of assemblies as required.
• Inspect product with microscope, halo light, and X-Ray as required.
• Stenciling and screening of PCBs as required.
• Troubleshoot the pick and place machine when issues occur.

• Program and run Mycronic Jet Printer
• Ability to program and set reflow oven
• Setup and operate assigned production equipment while achieving goals for quality, efficiency, and productivity
• Monitor the operation of equipment to ensure that assemblies are built to print and in compliance with applicable workmanship standards
• Inspect printed solder paste and component alignment for accuracy
• Understand and identify defects in accordance with applicable workmanship standard and class
• Perform manual placement of SMT and PIH components when needed
• Load feeders for equipment and wash boards as needed
• Electrical testing of assemblies as required
