Job summary

Patton, LLC is seeking a Surface Mount Technology Operator to setup and operate SMT equipment including stencil printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, AOI, and stencil cleaners. The role includes material handling, machine setup, inspection, and preventive maintenance while adhering to ISO procedures.

Shifts available: day (7:00am–3:30pm) and evening (3:00pm–11:30pm). Candidates should have a high school diploma, basic English, and at least 2 years of SMT experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Team environment experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and dexterity essential; basic hand soldering skills.
• Basic computer and clerical skills required.
• Familiar with IPC SMT workmanship standards.
• Minimum 2 years operating surface mount equipment.

Responsibilities

• Acquire materials from inventory and verify quantities against Work Order Documentation.
• Load part feeders and set up SMT equipment according to Set Up Documentation.
• Operate SMT equipment safely per Manufacturer’s Operating Manual and in-house SMT guidelines/procedures.
• Inspect SM Assemblies to IPC-A-610 and/or in-house workmanship standards.
• Document all labor information and complete routings steps electronically.
• Perform weekly Preventive Maintenance on SMT equipment.
• Follow company policies and ISO documentation.

• Must be familiar with IPC SMT workmanship standards.
• Min. 2 yrs experience operating surface mount equipment.
