Job summary

Aimtron Corporation in Palatine, IL is seeking an SMT Operator to set up and operate automated SMT equipment, including screen printers, pick and place, and reflow ovens. You will perform machine setup, teardown, and maintain quality records.

You must work well in a team, communicate status to supervisors, and uphold safety and cleanliness on the line while contributing to continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electronic components and the ability to work in a production line environment.
• Must be a self-motivated individual and work well in a team environment.
• Ability to follow Manager’s/Supervisor’s Instructions.
• Ability to Communicate well with Manager/Supervisor/Customers.
• ESD Training.
• Basic computer skills.
• Safety Training.

Responsibilities

• Must be familiar with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT).
• Ability to identify component packages and values.
• Set-up and operate automated SMT assembly equipment including Screen Printers, Pick N Place, and Reflow Ovens (Training Available).
• Perform machine set-up/tear down and cleanup according to procedures.
• Document and maintain quality records for machine set up, feeder exchanges and 1st Article inspection results according to procedures.
• Able to perform visual inspections of SMT Assemblies.
• Maintain a clean and orderly working area.
• Communicate machine operation status and errors to SMT Support Staff./Production Supervisor.
• Work with other team members to implement quality and performance improvement.
