Job summary

Nortech Systems is seeking an SMT Machine Operator to join our precision manufacturing team. You will operate and monitor automated equipment, ensure materials match specifications, perform basic maintenance, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

The role supports life-saving medical and high-tech aerospace components worldwide. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, ability to read instructions, and willingness to follow detailed work instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written operating instructions.
• Ability to listen to and follow oral operating instructions.
• Ability to perform assembly tasks in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Check raw materials for quality and quantity prior to loading into machine/equipment.
• Validate material is correct prior to setup/load; ensure material matches work instruction; reference manual and/or automated machine per plant documentation.
• Follow production instructions and/or supervisor direction to meet quality standards.
• Set up, start, operate, monitor, and stop machines and/or equipment to produce and/or modify parts and/or products as assigned.
• Ensure machines work at full capacity, are stocked with required materials, and are well-maintained.
