Job summary

Responsibilities include setting up and running pick-and-place, stencil printer, and reflow equipment, loading BOMs, performing first article inspections, and maintaining logs and documentation while following safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience reading assembly drawings, schematics, and component datasheets.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Experience with SMT equipment such as pick-and-place machines, stencil printers, and reflow ovens is preferred.
• Familiarity with IPC standards and ESD practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to meet production standards.
• Maintain accurate production logs, setup records, and quality documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing policies.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Location: South Portland, Maine

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SMT Operator to join our electronics manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment used in the production of printed circuit boards. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines, stencil printers, and reflow ovens.


• Load components and feeders according to job setup sheets and bills of materials (BOMs).


• Perform first article inspections to verify component placement and orientation.

• Experience operating Samsung/Hanwha SMT equipment.


• Experience with manufacturing software such as ERP or MES systems.


• Technical training or certification in electronics.

Other Information

• Location: South Portland, ME.


• Pay Rate: $20.00/hour.


• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
