Richardson Electronics, Ltd. is seeking a SMT Programmer & Operator Lead for the 3rd shift to program SMT machines, drive quality, and lead a small team of technicians.

The role includes IPC training responsibilities and close collaboration with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure accurate placements and efficient production. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in SMT environments, strong mechanical/electronic skills, and the ability to train others in IPC standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2–5 years SMT experience.
• Working computer knowledge.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and sit/stand long periods.
• Strong mechanical and electronic skills.

Responsibilities

• Program and set up SMT machines, troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
• Lead IPC training sessions as instructor.
• Train and supervise department employees; manage quality issues.
• Maintain organization/layout with Manufacturing Manager.
• Maintain production run records and maintenance logs.
• Coordinate material issuance with planning; perform cycle counts.
• Assist with troubleshooting and coordinate rework.
• Oversee projects to ensure timely progress.
