As a Smog Technician, you will:

• Conduct standardized tests on vehicles to measure exhaust pollutants and ensure emission control compliance.
• Identify and troubleshoot vehicle malfunctions, performing precise repairs.
• Conduct comprehensive multi-point inspections on all vehicles.
• Stay informed about industry practices in automotive repair.
• Test-drive vehicles using diagnostic tools and specialized equipment.
• Maintain proficiency in diagnostics and repairs through continuous learning.
• Keep accurate documentation for customer and company records.
• Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding additional services.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair various automotive systems.
• Execute repair tasks efficiently, adhering to dealership standards.

Requirements:

• Valid Smog test license.
• Over 1 year of automotive diagnostics and problem-solving experience.
• ASE Certifications are advantageous.
• Experience with X-Time/CDK is beneficial.
• DMV background check and valid driver’s license with insurable record.
• Willingness to participate in in-house training.
• Proficiency with auto repair tools and diagnostic equipment.

Salary:

$33.00-$90.00/hour, based on experience and skills.
