SMOC in Pipestone, MN is seeking a Full-Time Classroom Assistant Teacher to support the Head Start program in a center-based setting. You will work with 3–5-year-olds, follow directions from supervisors, assist the driver, and ensure safety, confidentiality, and respectful engagement with families. A CDA credential is required or you must be willing to obtain one; benefits include PTO, paid holidays, and health, life, dental, and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Must hold Child Development Associate credentials, or be willing to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to and from the center and assist the driver, following guidelines.

Full-Time Pipestone Head Start Position Available

Classroom Assistant Teach

SMOC, a non-profit organization, is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Classroom Assistant Teacher in Pipestone, Mn to work in the Head Start program.

Engages in mutually respectful goal-orientated partnerships with families to promote parent-child relationships and family well-being: Respects and responds appropriately to culture, language, values, and family structures of each family served; Supports families’ safety, health, financial stability, life goals, and aspirations; Enhances parent-child relationships and supports parents’ role as the first and life long educators of their children; Supports families in using community resources that enhance family well-being and children’s learning and development. In addition, responsible for riding to and from the center, assisting the driver, and adhering to transportation guidelines.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Bilingual skills are not required but preferred. Ability to work with 3–5-year-old children. Ability to take directions from supervisor. Ability to lift and carry supplies. Confidentiality.

Education and experience:

Child Development Associate credentials. Or willingness to obtain credentials, minimum.

Starting hourly rate $19.31
