Purpose:

To design, fabricate, install, repair, revise, modify, and maintain machines, equipment, structures, and facilities.

Materials used, processed, and handled:

Machine parts, metal stock, pins, tubing, fittings, hardware, gases, oils, paints, acids, fiber optics, metals.

Tools and Equipment used:

Hand tools, measuring devices, power tools, welding and burning equipment, cranes, trucks, forging hammers, presses, forming equipment, laser, ultrasonic testers, and more.

Duties and working procedures:
  • Design, install, maintain, repair, and modify machines and structures.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment.
  • Install and repair piping systems.
  • Perform layout, cutting, welding, brazing, and assembly.
  • Conduct tests like ultrasonic inspection and vibration analysis.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in welding, millwright, pipe fitting, plumbing, and related fields.
  • Hands-on testing during hiring, including welding, hydraulics, and machine alignment.
