Job summary

IPT Associates (IPTA) is seeking a senior data architect hybrid at Joint Base Andrews, MD. You will be the technical authority for enterprise data architecture, data warehouse management, and data platform modernization, supporting ANG CDAO operations with scalable, secure data ecosystems.

The role leads data pipeline development, governance, and AI/ML initiatives across multiple government systems, requiring a Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years in the field, IAM Level III and an active clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as CS, IS, data science or engineering.
• 15+ years of enterprise data architecture and data warehouse management experience.
• Design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security.
• IAM Level III certification and active security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the technical authority for enterprise data architecture, data warehouse management, repository administration, and data platform modernization.
• Designs and maintains secure, scalable data architectures supporting data pipelines, reporting, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives.
• Establishes data models, lineage standards, governance controls, and interoperability requirements.
• Leads planning and implementation for Azure Databricks, Palantir Foundry, Advana/Warfighter Data Platform and other data environments.
• Provides architectural oversight and lifecycle management of CDAO data assets.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the technical authority for enterprise data architecture, data warehouse management, repository administration, and data platform modernization supporting ANG CDAO operations
• Designs and maintains secure, scalable data architectures that support data pipeline development, data integration, reporting, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives across multiple Government systems
• Establishes data models, source-to-target mappings, lineage standards, governance controls, and interoperability requirements to ensure data integrity, availability, and usability
• Leads technical planning and implementation activities for Azure Databricks, Palantir Foundry, Advana/Warfighter Data Platform, and other approved data environments while optimizing performance and reliability
• Supports Data Pipeline Development and Data Warehouse Management by providing architectural oversight, technical guidance, and lifecycle management of CDAO data assets

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
• 15+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture and data warehouse management
• Design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security
• Design and construct large relational databases. Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure and refine system performance and functionality
• Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments
• Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives. Has domain and expert technical knowledge
• Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met
• Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management
• Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation
• May supervise others
• IAM Level III certification
• An Active Security clearance is required
